JEE Main 2025: Registration Begins and Tentative Exam Dates Announced

As the years have gone by, one thing has remained constant: hard work and preparation are the keys to success, especially when it comes to competitive exams like the JEE Main exam 2025. This exam, scheduled tentatively between 24th January 2025 and 1st February 2025, is your gateway to some of the finest engineering institutes in the country, including the IITs and NITs.

Now, I’ve seen countless batches of students take this exam, and I can tell you from experience—the earlier you start preparing, the better your chances of success.

Important Dates and Registration:
The JEE Main Registration 2025 will begin in November 2024. Make sure you don’t delay and register as soon as the portal opens. Over the years, I’ve seen many students miss the deadline, and I wouldn’t want that for you. Keep all your documents ready and stay updated with the official announcements.

Exam Pattern:
The exam will be conducted in computer-based mode and will test you on three subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
Each subject is equally important, with 20 multiple-choice questions and 10 numerical questions, of which you’ll need to answer 5. Remember, time management is crucial—you’ll have just 3 hours to answer, and there’s negative marking for incorrect answers.

You’ll need to cover the entire syllabus from both Class 11 and Class 12 NCERT textbooks:

In Physics, focus on core topics like Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Modern Physics, and Waves.
For Mathematics, it’s all about mastering Calculus, Algebra, and Coordinate Geometry.
and in Chemistry, a balanced understanding of Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry is necessary. Topics like Chemical Bonding, Thermodynamics, and Organic Reactions always carry weight.
Now, if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years of teaching, it’s that a solid foundation is everything. Start with the basics and build from there. Don’t rush through the topics—focus on understanding, not just memorizing.

Practice and Mock Tests:
There is an old saying & its true: practice makes you perfect. After covering your syllabus, start taking mock tests regularly. I can’t stress this enough—testing yourself in a timed environment will prepare you mentally for the actual exam day. At Sarthaks eConnect, we offer a range of JEE main mock test 2025, previous years’ papers, and detailed solutions that are just what you need to refine your preparation.

Time-Tested Preparation Tips:
Start Early: Don’t wait until the last minute. The students who start early always fare better.
Strengthen Fundamentals: Get your concepts crystal clear. This isn’t an exam you can bluff your way through.
Daily Revision: Make it a habit to revise each day. Even 30 minutes can make a huge difference.
Monitor Progress: Regularly test yourself and review your weak areas. If you find a topic tough, don't be discouraged—work on it until it clicks.
